Honestly aside from _Inception_ and prior to _Oppenheimer_ this film was one of the few instances where Cillian Murphy played a heroic and non-antagonistic role cause in most of the films such as _Batman Begins_ and _Red Eye,_ Cillian tends to portray villainous or as antagonistic characters. Finally, I don’t know if the creatures can’t swim was a retcon from the first film, because in the first film, one of the creatures were able to enter into the basement and was able to swim but that had to do with the fact it had shallow water so the creatures were able to swim with ease, but if the water is super deep and is in an area like a lake or better yet an ocean, the creatures won’t swim in an area that’s deep and eventually drown which is what happened when one of them drowns after killing the bandits and why none of them were present on the island (until one of them stowed away and attacked the islanders during the climax)

All movie long I was screaming at the boy to be quiet and stay put. He was such an idiot! Acting like he wasn't in 'part one' 😁 (which I enjoyed way more)!

Believe it or not, nearly every one of the plagues and even the parting of the Red Sea are scientically possible. Exodus 14:21 said "And all night the Lord drove the sea back with a strong east wind and turned it into dry land." That is a reverse storm surge. Not a drop of water to be seen for miles. I've seen them after hurricanes. I'm sure you can find pictures of them out on the Internet. Creepy as heck.

And I thought the nail scene in the first movie was hard to watch. That bear trap scene was brutal, and the acting really sold the scene for me. Such a great sequel.

How they even think of having a baby in that universe is beyond me. Thank goodness they at least found a weakness in those monsters... Also knowing what's coming, seeing the peaceful intro with the horrors being slowly introduced is soooooo tense. Great reaction as always!

I relate very much to 22. Just like her I'm afraid of life and feel like I'm not enough and that I won't be able to manage it. Just like her I can really appreciate the little moments in life, I just sometimes have to "wake up" to do so. The only difference is that my fear of life comes from experience, I didn't always have it while 22s fear comes from inexperience and in my case it's somewhat grounded in reality. This movie is really great and I think Joe and 22 work great together as characters, because they are kind of opposites of each other, but they both need to come to the understanding what life really means over the course of the movie. It's brilliant

I know my comment is super late to the show, but you gotta watch Joseph: King of Dreams if you loved this movie. These two movies were made at the right time. But then a lot of things happened over the decades, and a possible sequel to Prince of Egypt was forgotten sadly. i still get chills to this day over the soundtrack!

What makes this show so amazing, is that every single scene has a purpose. There are no filler scenes. I've seen this show at least a dozen times and I am still picking up little hints and foreshadowing.

2:17 I have issues with the word "humanity". It's just such a big hypocritical term for me. Watching at humanity with open eyes, the "everything is fine, and BOOM, Humanity!" is much more accurate to describe what humans are like. Exploiting, oppressing and putting ourselves first before considering others, as long as we do not suffer any disadvantage, that is what we are in general. Something like that "humanity" Oscar talked about is rather an ideal that is desirable and something that we humans wish the qualities that this term expresses would define us. Kindness is somehow in us but that "humanity" people mean by saying that term is not what defines humans at all. I don't mean to be rude here pals, it is just something that bothers me. We need to be more honest about some things that may not attractive but still true.
